Most chronic problems—from your organization’s mediocre safety record or stalled quality initiative to an individual’s inability to overcome a shopping addiction—no matter how different they may appear at first glance, are actually the same problem. That’s right; most problems that resist our best attempts at solutions and then persist for years on end do so because we lack influence. More specifically, we lack the ability to get ourselves and others to change behaviour.

In spite of the fact that we’re routinely trying to help ourselves and others change and improve behaviour, few of us can articulate a process to successfully plan and implement the changes necessary for our individual and collective success. By drawing from the skills of many of the world’s best change agents and combining them with five decades of social-science research, Influencer – The Power To Change Anything delivers a powerful and portable model for changing behaviours—a model that anyone can learn and apply.

Based on the New York Times best selling book Influencer – The Power To Change Anything, this interactive workshop will introduce participants to an award-winning methodology that provides proven strategies for successfully uprooting entrenched habits, driving sustained improvement, and executing change initiatives.

The 2-day Influencer workshop uses a combination of instructor-led training, compelling videos, extensive in-class practice, small and large group dialogue, and personal planning to help participants learn skills and develop strategies for resolving tough issues. In the workshop, you will learn to:

  • Diagnose the web of causes behind any problem and create powerful strategies for driving change.
  • Identify a handful of high-leverage behaviors that, if changed, will lead to desired results.
  • Rely less on formal authority and more on ways to motivate and enable others to alter their behaviour.
  • Use the powerful Influencer Model to develop and apply a robust influence strategy to anything from small- to large-scale cultural transformations.
